TOGETHER

Ten Weeks. Nine Other Men. Somewhere to Say the Real Thing.

A Men’s Circle Series in Phinney Ridge, Seattle

Thursdays, 6p - 8p

Sept 17th - Nov 19th, 2026

Do any of these resonate?

  • “I feel isolated. I wish I had some close friends.”

  • “I better figure this out on my own. I don’t want to be a burden.”

  • “I wish I could feel more. More than anger, anyway.”

  • “I just feel stuck. It’s like I’m lost. I have no idea what my purpose is anymore—if I ever did.”

  • I know my partner wants more from me. So do I.

  • “I just don’t know what it means to be a man anymore. I just don’t resonate with what I see out there.”

And if so, does it feel like it’s about you? Like there’s something wrong with you?

Well, here’s some good news: it’s not just about you. Men everywhere are feeling this way.

Even better news: there’s a way out of experiencing life this way.

That way is deceptively simple. At the same time, it will challenge you—in the best possible ways.

What exactly am I talking about?

A Men’s Circle

I’ve a few more questions for you:

Have you ever had a space where you can show up each week and feel seen? Where you get support, and develop connections that go deeper than the surface?

A space where you get to show up for others in a way that feels meaningful and purposeful?

Where you can learn skills that improve your relationships (with your significant other, friends, family, & coworkers)?

A Men’s Circle can be that space.

I found [TOGETHER] to be very supportive, it has helped me to navigate vulnerable feelings, ask for support, and show up in community with more presence. I am truly appreciative that I joined this men's circle, and I strongly recommend it to any man who wants to learn how to better share and show up with more love in their community.

~ Tyler S.

The power of a men’s circle comes from three things:

  • The consistency of showing up each week - for yourself and for the other men;

  • The relationships you build - with one another and with yourself;

  • The commitment you make - to yourself and each other.

This 10-week series—TOGETHER—is designed to give you the direct experience of this power, to begin to forge the relationships you can count on, and to give you the foundational skills that helps make you a supportive member of whatever circle you’re a part of.

Whether you’ve been a part of men’s circles before (including this program), or you’re totally new to men’s circles or men’s groups, TOGETHER can help you deepen your relationships and build the skills you need to live into the life you want.

What it looks like

Using tools and approaches such as . . .

  • . . . large group discussions,

  • . . . paired discussions & ‘Listening Sessions’,

  • . . . and embodiment exercises . . .

. . . we’ll explore core aspects of this work, such as:

  • What it means to build trust,

  • The ways our strategies of invulnerability get in our way,

  • The role shame has in keeping us stuck,

  • How the ways we learned adaptation keep showing up today,

  • And what we can learn from our grief.

In addition, we’ll draw on the life experience of the group to touch into what is alive on the hearts and minds of its members.

In each session you’ll learn skills that can help you in your relationships, your work, and anywhere that you are connecting with other people (as well as your own personal development work).

Between each session, we’ll use a digital hub to stay connected. You’ll have an opportunity to practice embodiment and/or meditation exercises as well as optional buddy calls to dive into reflection questions and keep the work alive.

We meet for 10-weeks, in-person, for two-hour sessions. You’ll learn the four ‘meeting styles’:

  • Body - Where we explore ways to move out of our heads, and into our bodies;

  • Heart - Where we explore how emotions live in us, even if we haven’t felt them for years;

  • Mind - Where we look at the stories we have about ourselves and the world;

  • Spirit - Where we connect to the role of meaning and purpose in our lives.

If that last one makes you hesitate, know this: there’s no dogma here. If ‘spirit’ doesn’t work for you, use ‘purpose’.

What guys are saying

I found [TOGETHER] created both the consistent connection and the raw, vulnerable space to really see myself and others, and to create real authentic connection with other men. After the program I feel more open, more comfortable with and more kind to myself vis-a-vis my own insecurities and challenges.

~ Ben

In TOGETHER, I found community. A safe harbor to fall back on as I dove into the depths of my grief. I found courage to forgive myself, to hold my own heart lovingly, and I learned how to hold it kindly, as I never knew the difference between surviving, and living. I learned my wants and my needs and the way they affect my self image. [This is] a sacred space of sacred witnesses, a place to see and be seen to and trust the vulnerabilities of what it means to be human beings, together.

~ Josie C.

This group showed me how differently we each see our own lives—our families, where we come from, what we were handed. And at the same time, how much we're all wrestling with the same things, just taking different roads to get to connection and meaning. It's been an honor to know these men.

~ John

Your Facilitator

This series will be facilitated by me, Gregory Flynn, of circ.al. I stepped into my first men’s circle in 2008 and have been facilitating them in one way or another since 2012. In 2020, at the very beginning of the pandemic, I created Men Connecting, an online men’s circle that’s still meeting weekly. In 2022 and 2023 I hosted The Bind, a podcast for men and the people who loved them. I also publish to my. Substack, called be.wild.er

I’ve facilitated retreats and workshops for men and for mixed gender groups, as well as leadership and culture development projects within the non-profit, public, and private sectors.

I’m grateful for the many teachers and mentors who influence my approach to this work. These include: Aaron Johnson, Terry Real, Sophie Strand, and Báyò Akómoláfé among many others. To get a better sense of my background and work, please check out my about page.

I live in North Seattle with my wonderful wife and rambunctious dog. I love to spend my time with good friends, over a cup of tea, as well as in the woods and on the water.

Cost and Registration

It’s important to me that this space is available to everyone. To make this possible, I offer this program at three different tiers. The criteria I ask men to use when deciding on a tier are: 1. What is an amount that feels like an investment to you, and, 2. What is an amount that doesn’t keep you up at night? See below for alternate payment options.

  • Supporting Tier: $700 ($70 per session) - Pay this rate if you have the resources to support other men who could use a hand up

  • General Admission Tier: $550 ($55 per session) - Pay this rate if you regularly meet your monthly needs easily

  • Supported Tier: $400 ($40 per session) - Pay this rate if you regularly find yourself stretching to meet your monthly needs

Due to recent changes in WA State Law, I am now required to charge 10.55% sales tax on all purchases. For this reason, I'm no longer charging any fees to help cover credit card fees.

If you would prefer to pay in two installments, please use one of these links:

If a different installment plan would be better for you, please let me know. I’d be happy to work with you.

If all of these tiers are out of reach for you right now, don’t hesitate to email me at hello [at] circ [dot] al - we’ll figure something out to make sure that you can have this experience.

Cancelation policy: If you cancel your registration 10 days or more prior to the program start date, I will issue a full refund. If you cancel between 10 and 4 days before, I can issue a 50% refund and apply the remaining 50% to a future event. Cancelations less than 4 days are forfeited.

Agreements

Creating a container like this requires a commitment by everyone involved to tend to the space. I use agreements as part of that tending. Below is an agreement related to the timing of the circle, as well as five agreements that we’ll be using.

For those registering, you’ll be asked if you are able to commit to the first agreement and if you are willing to step into the circle with a curious mind about the five in-circle-agreements:

  • I will be able to arrive no later than 6pm so we can begin on time, and will be able to stay until the circle closes at 8pm

  • We slow down in order to track ourselves and each other

  • We use "I" statements in order to own our thoughts and feelings

  • We seek to witness—rather than 'fix'—one another in order to experience holding and being held

  • We honor the sacred nature of one another's shares in order to build trust

  • We invite complexity, paradox, and generative tension in order to create the conditions for growth, healing, and transformation
